Deaconess Pamela Nielsen has served faithfully within The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod for more than four decades. Her early ministry with the aged and dying shaped a lifelong commitment to defending the sanctity of life and caring for those at the end of life. After many years serving the church through a variety of leadership, editorial, and communication roles, she has returned to hands‑on mercy work and soul care, with a particular focus on supporting the dying and their loved ones. She continues to encourage thoughtful conversation and education around the church’s ministry at life’s end. Pamela and her husband, Jeff, live in the St. Louis area, where they enjoy time with their children and grandchildren.
